It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maxine E. Callahan of Mohawk, New York, born in Fort Plain, New York, who passed away on July 15, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Smith and Laura Smith (Vosburgh); her daughter Cheryl Baumes; her siblings, Leon Duesler and Marilyn Haggerty; her brother-in-law George Haggerty; her nephew Franklin Colvin (Frankie); and her aunts, Evelyn and Jeanette Vosburgh.
She is survived by: her daughters, Candice Colvin of Mohawk, Patty Callahan of Mohawk, Terri Sterling (Kevin) of Mohawk and Sue Callahan of Mohawk; her son-in-law John Baumes of Tully; her grandchildren, John Baumes (Christa), Angela Horning, Christa Burda (Jeff), Jeremy Callahan, Matthew, Marshall Sterling and Joslyn Callahan; her nieces, Bonnie Tyler (Bob) and Cindy Duesler; and her nephew Mark Duesler (Vicky). She is also survived by six great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
