He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Smith and Helen Hubbard Smith; his wife Yvonne P. Long; his daughter Sheila; his grandson John Michael Seamon (Mikey); his son-in-law William Seamon (Billy); and his brothers, Walter, Gareth (Red), Floyd Jr., Norman and Aubrey (Obbie).
He is survived by: his children, Floyd "Skip" Smith (Cheryl) of North Carolina, LaMott K Smith Jr. (Robin) of Virginia, Lorne Smith (Jennifer) of Virginia, Yvette (John Seamon), Juanita (Raymond Rose) and Robin Seamon (William) of Monticello. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
