He was predeceased by: his parents, John Valenta and Betty Valenta (Sherwood); and his grandsons, Gradon and Cameron Valenta. He is survived by: his wife Tina M. Wysocki; his children, John W. Valenta (Sara), Jennifer Abbruzzese (Chris), Kathleen Peplinski (Eli Smith), Vanessa McCord (Ben), Cheryl Douglass (Nathan), Anne Maidens (Matt) and Elizabeth Valenta (Jacob Mayton); his siblings, Carolyn V. Neverusky (George) and Elroy Moore (Laurie); his sister-in-law Brenda Bellstedt; and his grandchildren, Gavin (Isabella Valenta), Marissa (Julianna Abbruzzese), Shelby, Zachary (Nolan Peplinski), Blake (Madelynn McCord), Wyatt Douglass (Gage) and Grayson Maidens. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
