He was predeceased by: his wife Ethel Gilman; his son Paul Francis Gilman; and his siblings, James, Henry, Don, Inza Strosser and Rachel Grasso.
He is survived by: his children, Raymond J. (Nancy), James (Jerilyn), John (Carol) and Debra Cassidy (John); his sister Rhoda Menga; and his stepdaughters, Linda Martin, Lois Crum, Lorraine Nickell (George) and Lori Daneshvar (Shahran). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great grand-children.
