He was predeceased by: his parents, Heinrich Hansen and Frieda Hansen (Petersen); and his brother Hermann Hansen (Germany). He is survived by: his wife Kay Hansen (Modena); his daughters, Karen (Wallkill) and Susan (Wallkill); his grandchildren, Gustav and Juliane; and his sister Alma Maistrak (Werner) of Duisburg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
