With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vincenza M. Benedetto (Mineola, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 24, 2024 at the age of 110. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Vincenza departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Vincenza may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Vincenza leaves behind.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Maurice Benedetto; her sons, Robert (Diane) and Carl; and her grandchildren, Laura (Chris), Mark, Nicholas and Anthony. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

“I had the distinct honor and privilege to meet my 2nd cousin about 12 years ago when I went to Long Island to meet the Treppedi/Muratore part of my ancestry tree. She was so welcoming and even shared a couple of pictures of her grandparents with me. Her grandmother Vincenza and my great grandfather were siblings. I have kept in touch with this side of the family via Joyce Roper. So sorry to hear of her loss. She will be missed by so many people. Rest in peace Vincenza, cousin Renay Mishico”
