It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Filomena Iavarone of Mineola, New York, who passed away on October 26, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Aniello Palumbo and Carolina Palumbo; and her husband Pasquale Iavarone. She is survived by: her children, Felicia Verdi and Anthony Iavarone (Corrie); her grandchildren, Nicholas, Tyler, Angelina, Katerina and Nathanial; and her siblings, Luigi, Saverio, Sabatino, Giuseppe, Domenico, Rosa Murphy and Francesca Ferreri.
