He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert D. Stevens and Grace W. Stevens (Valyou); and his sisters, Carol Schwab of Lenox, MA and Ruth Merwin of Millerton. He is survived by: his children, Robert D. Stevens of Millerton, NY and Donna M. Archer of Litchfield, CT; the mother of his children Roberta Stevens of North Canaan, CT; and his grandchildren, Robert D. Stevens, Jr. (Courtney) of Austin, TX and Tiffany Archer of Litchfield, CT. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
