He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Ahearn and Patricia Ahearn (Thompson); and his siblings, Kevin A. Ahearn, Patricia Ahearn and Kathleen Thompson Carroll.

He is survived by: his wife Grace Crisafi; his children, Bruce Ahearn, Tomara Ahearn and Jessica Ahearn; his grandchildren, Mychal Ahearn, Jordan Cordero (Rochelle Brady) and Allison Stewart; his great grandchild Rory Cordero; and his sisters, Irene Ahearn of Canaan, CT and Kelly Kilmer (Scott) of Stanfordville, NY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
