He was predeceased by: his parents, Howell C. Hicks and Jennie E. Hicks; and his siblings, Adelaide Leake, Marie Crowe, Charles Everett Hicks, Howell Hicks, John Hicks, Robert Hicks and Peter Hicks.
He is survived by: his sons, Gregory, Stephen (Thecla) and Jason (Krista); his siblings, Janet Hicks, Frederick Hicks (Ruby), Henry "Hank" Hicks and David Hicks (Janice); his grandchildren, Amber, Mariah, Devin, Kayla, Danielle and Jason Jr.; and his great grandchild Virgil. He is also survived by his sons and grandsons.
Visitation is private and for immediate family only due to the current pandemic.
