“I am so sorry to hear of David's passing. I served with David at RAF Upper Heyford form 1959 to 1963. I was the Vehicle Maintenance Officer and David was one of my great mechanics who worked in the shop. I believe he was one of the airmen I selected to attend a stateside course on repair of the new 1959 Ford transmissions. One of my most memorable times was when Gary Powers U-2 was shot down over Russia and he had launched from the airfield at Upper Heyford. RIP David. (Dr Mueller}”

“Our deepest sympathy to Edye and family from Bob, I and our children. There are so very many memories of years spent together--when we were young and spent many overnights in each others apartments, the when we were older in each others homes. We would get together many times each year, always having the best time. And the years we adults vacationed in Atlantic City were unforgettable. Our children became fast friends. Dave with his beautiful smile and calm and loving self. RIP dear friend”

“To Edye and family, My heart aches for all of you over the passing of Dave. I will be eternally grateful to Dave and Edye for introducing me to my wonderful wife Dave's cousin. Dave was like my big brother and always had my back when we lived in the Transportation Barracks at RAF Upper Heyford, UK. I have fond memories of off-base parties at Dave's and Edye's place in the UK. And the fun we had with George and dances at the Heyford Airmen's Club. He was a wonderful man.”
