He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Dzimitrowicz and Helen Dzimitrowicz (Rodziewicz); his wife Fannie Yaghy; his son-in-law Daniel Wood; and his grandson Brian Mahardy.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Flansburg (William "Buck") of Newport, Henry "Mark" Dmitri (Noreen) of Newport, Audette Wood of Annapolis, MD and John Dmitri (Danielle Phillips) of Landrum, SC; his grandchildren, Jessica Bartlett, Zach Flansburg, Mitchell, Jared Wood, Chad, Tyler, Rachel and Jonathan Dmitri; and his stepson Steven Tamer of Utica. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
