He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Wimmer and Lillian Shaver Wimmer; his brother Walter; his granddaughter Ashley Greene; his great grandchild Abraham Greene; and his former wife Ida.
He is survived by: his children, Laura (Paul), Evelyn (Henry), Anna (Wayne), Tammy, Jamie (Mike), Jesse (Jackie), David (Andrea) and Anthony (Brittany); his stepdaughters, Sandra and Ginny; his brother Anthony (Roxanne); his friend Chris Romaine; and his granddaughter Brittany. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the T. S. Purta Funeral Home (22 Glenmere Ave, Florida, NY 10921). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Church (20 Glenmere Ave, Florida, NY 10921). A burial will be held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the St. Columba Cemetery (3335 NY-94, Chester, NY 10918).
