She was predeceased by: her son Luther R. Gilchrist Jr.; her mother Margaret Hayden; and her grandparents, Mabel Jeffries and Vincent Jeffries. She is survived by: her brothers, Larry and Lenny Hayden; her sisters-in-law, Lori Hayden and Ellen Hayden; her son-in-law Chris McGovern; her granddaughters, Justice and Lyric McGovern; her nieces and nephews, Larissa Hayden and LJ Hayden; her sisters, Mary Jane Knight, Rebecca Chance, Pat Johnson, Patty Hagar, Clara Payne, Beverly Taylor, Marvia Woods-Barnes, Wanda Brown and Cathie Morgan; and also Lanikka McGovern. She is also survived by her children's friends.
