She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernice Thompson (Hammond) and Hoyed Thompson; and her husband Roderick Bruce. She is survived by: her daughters, Robin Freeman, Elizabeth Winton and Dawn Freeman; her grandchildren, Erika Winton, Garrison "Big Guy" Winton, Devin Matthews, Kristen Roberts Taylor Winton, Desiree Pierce and Destiny Pierce; and her pet Porter.
