He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Shafer and Florene Shafer (Hatt); his siblings, Wilbur Shafer and Jane Mosher; and his nephew Mason Shafer.
He is survived by: his wife Anita Shafer; his children, Robert J. Shafer Jr. (Mae), Bonnie Shafer and Jackie Woolbright (John); his grandchildren, Matthew Woolbright, Kaytlin Woolbright and Lisa Shafer; his great grandchild John Karr; and his stepchildren, Karen Rutherford (Bruce), Janice Whetstone (William), Julie Santos (late Lou) and Sandee Lepkoske (Donald). He is also survived by step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial contributions in Bob's name may be made to the Middleport Fire Department.
