He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Schultz and Levern Schultz; his wife Kay Loraine Gurnsey Schultz; and his granddaughter Sophie Schultz. He is survived by: his children, Heidi Coleman (Anthony Wasch), Jodi Schultz-Waild (Michael), Christopher Schultz (Adrienne) and Nicholas Schultz (Aimee); his son-in-law Steven Coleman; his grandchildren, Keith, Tori Coleman, Austin, Tarin Waild and Zoe Schultz; and his sisters, Anita Jones (Chris) and Eileen Ambrose (Eric). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
