It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis G. Bates of Middleport, New York, born in Lockport, New York, who passed away on July 20, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Ann E. Bates (Whalen); his children, Dennis G. Bates Jr. (Tracy) of Hilton, Jeffrey W. Bates (Sheryl) and Susan E. Lehman (Michael) of Lockport; his grandchildren, Lauren Bates, Eric Lehman, Julie Bates, Brian Bates, Renee Lehman and Madden Bates; and his siblings-in-law, Richard B. Whalen of Lockport and Mary J. Fox of Lockport. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
