She was predeceased by: her former husband Michael Lucas; her parents, Francisco Pazos Lopez and Herminia Varela Lorenzo; and her siblings, Herminia Varela Lorenzo, Laureano Pazos Varela and Carlos Pazos Varela.

She is survived by: her children, Peter Lucas (Joan) and Anamaria Hladik; her grandchildren, Ashley Luzinski (Christopher), Arin Celeste (Christopher), Taylor Lucas, Sierra Kostick (Elijah), Amanda Binder and Nikki Hladik; her great grandchildren, Kayden, Astrid, Mace of Adilynn, EJ and Cole; and her siblings, Rafael Pazos Varela and Candida Pazos Varela.
