He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Slater (Wood) and Warren Slater; his sister Joan; and his brother-in-law Christian Nunamann (Chris). He is survived by: his wife Joyce Slater of Middleburgh; his daughters, Denise Slater-Mau (Patrick Mooney) of Pattersonville and Deanne Slater-Johnson of Pattersonville; his grandchildren, William Mau (Jessica) of Rotterdam, Alexander Mau (Rachel) of Scotia, Erick Mau (Kelly) of Rotterdam, Elizabeth Johnson of Pattersonville and Elayna Johnson of Pattersonville; his great grandchildren, Lincoln Mau, Harper Mau and Grayson Mau; and his nephews, Dale Nunamann (Donna), Dean Nunamann (Allison) and Todd Nunamann (Denise).

Memorial donations in Charlie's honor are asked to be sent to the Middleburgh Youth Commission, PO Box 789, Middleburgh, NY 12122 or to the Middleburgh Library, PO Box 670, Middleburgh, NY 12122.
