He was predeceased by: his parents, Manus Doherty and Katherine Higgins Doherty. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sadowski; and his siblings, Kay, Marion, Elizabeth, Margaret, Manus and David. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
