It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Christine Carballeira of Middle Village, New York, who passed away on August 19, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband Joseph Carballeira; and her brothers, Jack and Bill Dowell. She is survived by: her children, Philip (Kathy), David (Ellen), Elizabeth Becker (Josh) and Susan Sanchez (Joe); her grandchildren, Kristin, Nicole, Kimberly (Rob), Barbara, Michael (Rohin), Kaitlyn (Ryan), Joey (Fran), Jessica, Philip, Alec and Alex; her great grandchildren, Joseph, Ameilia and Emma; her siblings, Chloe Moriarity, Kim Rothman and Rod Dowell; and her husband Joe.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to either The Dementia Society of America (https://www.dementiasociety.org) or The Global Down Syndrome Foundation A celebration of Christine's life will be held on Saturday August 26th from 12-5 PM at Philip & Kathy Carballeira's house located at 3 Hannibal Court East Setauket, NY. Donations are being accepted for: Dementia Society of America (DEMENTIA SOCIETY INC) GLOBAL DOWN SYNDROME FOUNDATION.
