Stelling in Mid Hudson, New York, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on July 27, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Stelling and Asta Hansen Stelling. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Beth Sheets (Richard), Sandy Haakonsen (Glenn) and John Stelling; his brothers, Willam Stelling (Jean) and Peter Stelling; and his cousin Robert Nelson (Sandy). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in John's name may be made to the East Chatham Fire Company.
