He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Scaggs and Lula Morrison; and his siblings, Jerry Scaggs and Ruth Ellen. He is survived by: his wife Alma Scaggs; his son Lee Scaggs; his daughter-in-law Adele; his grandson Jacob Scaggs; his grandson-in-law Sam Frese; his extended family, Jenna Towne and Aaron Towne; his great grandchildren, Maravick, Travin and Adeline Towne; his sister Wanda Herrick; and also Rachael. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mexico Fire Company or the McFee Ambulance Service in Danny's memory.
