Irene Emma Schuman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irene Emma Schuman of Meridale, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 3, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Randolf George and Emma George (Hull); and her brother Glen George. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Schuman of Meridale; her daughter Jenny Harmyk (Victor) of Gilbertsville; her granddaughter Emma Harmyk of Gilbertsville; her brothers, Roy (Kathy) of Margaretville, Larry of Margaretville and Lynn George (Sue) of Margaretville; and her in-laws, Jeanne George of Margaretville, Jane Cammer (Larry) of Oneonta, James Schuman (Brooke) of Lanesville, Steve Schuman (Maryellen) of Roxbury and David Schuman (Jenn). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the MacArthur Funeral Home - Delhi (134 Main St, Delhi, NY 13753). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Pine Grove Cemetery.
