He was predeceased by: his parents, Pashupati Ganjhu and Khirodamani Devi Ganjhu; his wife Dharamshila Ganjhu; and his siblings, Lal Mohan Ganjhu, Madan Ganjhu and Meera Ganjhu (Ghura Ram).
He is survived by: his daughter Dr. Lisa Ganjhu; his siblings, Anand Ganjhu (Basanti) and Usha Mahto (Bandu); and his siblings-in-law, Rajkumar Prasad (Pratibha), Dr. Pashupati Kumar (Usha), Dr. Arbind Kumar (Roma), Mahendra Prasad (Shoba), Siddaharth Kumar (Kiran), Parvati Ganjhu and Kamlini Ganjhu. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
