We are sad to announce that on February 16, 2023, at the age of 80, Robert Greenwald of Melville, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lilian and Schmulevic; his wife Elaine; his daughters, Amy Greenwald (Justin Boyan), Carolyn Greenwald-Schaye (Adam Greenwald-Schaye) and Michele Even (Ron Even); his grandchildren, Ella, Carmen Greenwald Boyan, Nathan, Teddy, Jaime Greenwald-Schaye, Hannah and Jared Even; his brother Arthur Greenwald; and his niece Brenna Greenwald.
He was proud of his contribution to the growth of the medical profession, but he was perpetually irked by what he viewed as excessive testing and unnecessary treatments.
