He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter F. Hird and Grace M. Hird (Orton); his wife Sharon Hird; his children, Walter A. Hird and Andrea M. Walton; his granddaughter Abby Lynn Munger; his sister-in-law Valerie Carr; his son-in-law Jeffrey P. Munger; and his siblings, Warren Easton and Margaret Brainard. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
