He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Patterson and Mable Patterson (Smith); his stepmother Diane Patterson; his sisters, Roberta Kankiewicz and Tracey Wheeler; his nephew Jon Patterson; his niece Rebecca Patterson; and his friend Gordon Walker.
He is survived by: his wife Carole; his sons, Reed Patterson, Wade Patterson, David Patterson (Gregory), Ross Patterson (Kristin) and John Patterson (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Benjamin Patterson, Alana Patterson, MacKenzie Patterson, Sophia Patterson, Nathanial Patterson and Alessandra Patterson; his siblings, Donna Gale (Hugh), Tom Patterson, Roger Patterson (Denise), Rick Patterson (Sue), Diane Millett (Bob) and Dawn Patterson; and his friends, Peter Kage, Chris Spence, Jean Reidel, Barb Reidel, Sandy Robison, Jack Robison, Eric Widger, Elaine Walker, Craig Platter, Debbie Platter, Toni Palarmo and Joyce Palarmo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
