She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Webber and Helen Webber (Parker); her husband F. Pierson Root; and her siblings, Carl Webber and Constance Lyster.
She is survived by: her children, Rick Root (Linda), Robin L. Root (Dawn), R. Scott Root (Tony McMurtrie), Dale S. Root (Helen), Pamela Maryjanowski (Michael) and Lisa Acosta (Anthony); and her sister-in-law Alice Webber. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
