He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn W. Ribbeck and Luella Ribbeck (Hassler); his siblings, Glenn Ribbeck Jr., Patricia Ribbeck and Donna Ribbeck; and his son-in-law Eric Pluskwa.

He is survived by: his wife Marsha; his children, Lisa Prentice, Jacquelyn Knight, Erin Garlock (Jeff), Tammy Ribbeck, Carrie Ribbeck (Ed Allen), Ernest Ribbeck Jr., Robert Ribbeck and Judith Weiland; his grandchildren, Matthew Caldwell (Monika), Desiree Punch, Bethany Confer (David), Drew Higgins (Shani), Colin Knight (Courtney), Chandler Knight, Emily Perez (Matt), Alison Garlock, Quinn Garlock, Benjamin Keiffer, Grace Cooper, Chelsey Ramsey, Zach Weiland and Mac Weiland; and his sister Evelyn Jones (Henry). He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
