With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carmela M. Basilice of Medford, New York, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on December 29, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Patrick J. Basilice; and her brother Anthony Messina (Claire). She is survived by: her children, Joseph Basilice (Lisa) and Linda Hoerrner (Augie); her siblings, Ursula Buono (Michael) and Stephen Messina (Janice); and her grandchildren, Patrick, Lucianna, Melissa, Diana, Tina, Petra and Paul. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
