He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Slish and Irene Huff Slish; and his siblings, John, Joseph Slish, Mary Bechtoldt and Ruth Ann Metsinger.
He is survived by: his family Watervliet; his friend John Michaels; his wife Sonya A. Swatling; his sons, Gino Montepare (Linda), Nicholas Slish (Nancy) and Andru Slish (Betsy); his grandchildren, Joshua (Caitlin), Nicholas and Ally (Dylan); and his great grandchildren, Amelia, Lucus and Wren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
