Kathrine (Karen) R. Valoze Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kathrine (Karen) R. Valoze of Mechanicville, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 12, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Cavanaugh and Grace Cavanaugh (Lewis); her husband Gerald S. Valoze of Melrose; and her siblings, James Cavanaugh, Rita Lewandowski, Joan Cavanaugh and Edward Cavanaugh.

She is survived by: her son Brian Valoze of East Greenbush; her grandchildren, Brandon Valoze and Megan Valoze; her daughter Anita Stevens (Clifford) of Ballston Spa; her grandchildren, Amber O'Keefe (Kevin) and Clifford Stevens (Taylor); her son Gerald Valoze of Melrose; and her sister Mary Alice Simone (Ernie Lisi) of Rochester. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes (319 Park Ave, Mechanicville, NY 12118). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hudson Church (121 North Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118).
