With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frances Benamati (Mechanicville, New York), who passed away on May 20, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph DeVito and Grace Belasario DeVito; her husband Lou; and her siblings, Vera Notro, Millie Tironi, Mary Robens, Anthony "Primo" DeVito and Jennie Cervine.
She is survived by: her sons, James Benamati (Bea) of Ballston Lake and Dean Benamati (Joanne) of Glenville; her son-in-law James Whiting of Mechanicville; her grandchildren, Jason Benamati, Heather Lord, Joshua Whiting, Alexis, Santino, Cianna Benamati, Olivia Lord, Austin and Tyler Whiting; and her sister-in-law Carmella "Tookie" DeVito. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Frances Benamati.
