He was predeceased by: his sister Joan M. Metcalf; his brother-in-law Nathan Metcalf; his brothers, Charles G. Niles and James R. Niles; and his siblings-in-law, Toba Niles, Leo Spangenburg, Raymond Taylor and Gary Bradshaw.
He is survived by: his wife Ann; his children, Sharleen Dunbar (David Dunbar) and Bryan Niles (Kristin Leveto); his grandsons, Zachary Dunbar, Ryan Dunbar, Owen Dunbar, Richard Karol Jr, Cameron Niles and Bradley Niles; his sister Betty J. Spangenburg; and his sisters-in-law, Patricia J. Niles, Wilma R. Tayor and June Bradshaw.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the McGraw United Methodist Church, 20 E. Main St., McGraw, NY 13101 or Resident Activity Fund NYS Veterans Home Batavia, 220 Richmond Ave., Batavia, NY 14020.
