He was predeceased by: his parents, Garrett Chester Bush and Ramona Anderson; his sister Dixie; and his grandson Joseph. He is survived by: his wife Doris Bush of McGraw; and his children, Garry of Syracuse, Shannon of Syracuse, Catherine of Syracuse, Diana (Peter) of Homer, Andrea (Robert) of Penneville and Shawn (Cheryl) of Marathon. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
