He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Rutan, Sr. and Elizabeth Wilson Rutan; his wife Mary Louise Brown; and his siblings, Arthur Rutan, Mildred Schellinger, Levi Rutan, Ronald Rutan, Donald Rutan and Medora Bement.
He is survived by: his children, John and Nancy Hornung; his grandchildren, Kyle Rutan (Heather), Jenette Rutan (Hansel Urena), Scott Hornung and Rob Hornung (Allie); and his great grandchildren, Brycen Rutan and Madison Hornung. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
