He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelo Gervasi and Ellen Lawry Gervasi. He is survived by: his wife Lillian "Lil" Murdock Gervasi; his sister Kay Sommers (Barry) of South Carolina; and his half-brother Aaron Hohenstein (Tina) of Delaware.
