She was predeceased by: her father Carl Duryee; and her stepfather James Chambers. She is survived by: her mother Alice "Mildred" Trask Chambers; her husband Ronald R. Hoesel of Mayville; her children, Michael Howard (Sheila), Melanie Howard (Bobby Agostino) of Ashville, NY and Norm Smith (Tricia) of Dewittville; her stepchildren, Rhonda Kent (Dave) of Alden, NY and Jonathan Hoesel of Depew, NY; her siblings, Carol Howard (Gary) of Mayville, Jeff Chambers (Linda) of West Virginia, James Chambers (Linda) of Sherman, NY and Joseph Chambers (Donna) of Rochester, NY; and her cousin Clara Dunbar (Wayne) of Mayville. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Due to the restrictions of the pandemic all services will be private.

“So sorry you guys. I know it has been a battle for George for so long. I feel terrible that I never really let her know how much she meant to me. She really was a special person and I feel very fortunate to have known her for so many years. There were a couple times that I called, either for Mely's number or just to chat with her. when I lived in Cleveland and needed someone to talk to. I will miss her so very dearly.
