She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh M. Gilbert and Agnes E. Gilbert (Lent); her husband Melvin Parker; and her brother Lucian Gilbert. She is survived by: her sister Susan Hall (Richard); her nieces and nephews, Jeff Gilbert (Eileen), Kevin Gilbert (Kim), Scot Gilbert (Louise), Rick Gilbert (Laurie), Eric Hall (Jen), Jeannie Schneider (Mike) and Jaymessa Matthews (Bill); and her friend Dona Hayden. She is also survived by 13 great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Sylvia can be made to the Mayfield Historical Society at the Rice Homestead, 328 Riceville Rd, P.O.
