He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugenia VanNostrand Walter and Fred Walter; his wife Mary; his brothers, Joel and Billy; and his grandson Kace.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly, Daniel, Kelly and Gina; his grandchildren, Meackon (David), Christopher, Jasmine (Mike), Diamond (Salvatore), Makenzy, Kiana, Jamal, James and Maliya; his great grandchildren, Lindsay, Brantley, Kade, Salvatore Jr., Marcus, Layla and Rocco; his siblings, Lois (Jerry), David (Patricia), Nancy (Bill) and Johnny (Charlotte); his sisters-in-law, Susan and Yvette; and his close friend Tim Handy. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great children.
