He was predeceased by: his father Duncan Bond; and his brother John. He is survived by: his mother Florence Bond (McMahon) of Amsterdam; his children, Shawn Bond (Lynn) of Broadalbin, NY and Bobbi Jo Stock (Travis) of Saranac, NY; and his grandsons, Alexander and Stuart. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Robert to Mountain Valley Hospice.
