James K. Van Nostrand Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James K. Van Nostrand of Mayfield, New York, who passed away on February 25, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross J. Van Nostrand and Mabel A. Van Nostrand-Sherwood; his wife Rosemarie A Van Nostrand; and his brother Elwin Van Nostrand. He is survived by: his children, Wanda Carter (Jim), Priscilla Ahrens (Wayne) and Donald Van Nostrand (Peggy-Sue); his grandchildren, Ryan Tabor (Courtney), Zach Tabor (Emily) and Adam Tabor (Steve); and his great grandchildren, Bryce, Blake Tabor, Adelynn, Ezekiel, Gabriel Tabor, Logan, Juliana Carter, Eleanor and Cash Carter.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the King Cemetery (394 County Hwy 152, Mayfield, NY 12134).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Mountain Valley Hospice in James' honor.
