It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlene Kuryla of Mattydale, New York, born in Syracuse, New York, who passed away on July 21, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Schwartz and Amanda Schwartz (Strauss); and her siblings, Gertrude Powers, Charles Schwartz and Dorothy Merrill.
She is survived by: her husband Edward R. Kuryla; her children, Lori Ellis (David) of North Syracuse, John Kuryla (Carol Koslowski-Trent) of Mattydale and Philip Kuryla (Lisa); her siblings, Diane Hopkins and John Schwartz; and her grandchildren, Aubrey, Andrew, Jake, Johanna, Abigail and Brianna. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
