It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Giuseppe Scarcella of Mattydale, New York, who passed away on July 5, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Rocco Scarcella; and his siblings, Antoinette Pugliese, Frank, Vincent and Carmen Scarcella.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Scarcella (Darmento); his children, Joseph Scarcella (Sonia), Michael Scarcella and Catherine Scarcella Abbott; and his grandchildren, Andrew, Alex Scarcella and Avery Abbott. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Per Joe's wishes, his body will be donated to the SUNY Upstate Medical University Anatomical Gift Program. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Clear Path for Veterans, 1223 Salt Springs Rd. Chittenango, NY 13037.
