He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Atkins and Freda Atkins (Dodson); his wife Shirley (Gangemi); and his son Jamie Atkins. He is survived by: his sons, Charles L. Atkins, Jr. (Darlene) of Mattydale, John Atkins (Debbie) of Virginia Beach and Thomas Atkins (Jennifer) of Central Square; and his brother John A. Atkins (Helen) of Missouri. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter.
