He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel R. Shields and Susan Piazzola; and his son Patrick Brummel. He is survived by: his child Sammantha Brummel; his sister Susan Lynch (Michael Lynch); and his grandchildren, Enzo and Jordyn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
