He is survived by: his children, Melissa Oakes of Cornwall Island, Mike Jacobs (Sheri) of Snye, Nathaniel Jacobs of St. Regis and Brett White of Cornwall Island; his grandchildren, Amelia, Chenel, Bailey and Sage; his siblings, Lorraine Oakes, Joseph of Akwesasne, James of Akwesasne and Victor Oakes of Akwesasne; and his niece Danielle Oakes of Akwesasne.
