He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Phillips and Agnes Phillips (Sunday); his son Patrick Phillips; his siblings, Henry Phillips, Catherine Johnson, Anna Phillips and Marie Phillips; and his brother-in-law James Lazore.
He is survived by: his wife Vicky Lazore; his sons, Russell Phillips (Linda) of Akwesasne, Conrad "Gunner" Phillips (Stacie) of Akwesasne and Marvin Phillips of Akwesasne; his grandchildren, Cole, Celeste and Carson Phillips; his great grandchild Rory; his siblings, Myrna Brown of Gouverneur, Joseph Phillips (Joan) of Akwesasne, Paul Phillips of Greenfield, MA, Bobby Phillips (Sharon) of Akwesasne, Andrew Phillips (Germaine) of Fort Covington, Dennis Phillips (Cindy) of Akwesasne and Pat Phillips (Carol) of Akwesasne; his godchildren, Penny Peters and Aubrey Phillips; his close friend Liz Sunday; and also, Lucille Peters, Candy, John Lazore (Dora), Melissa Lazore, Kenny Lazore (Rene), Helen Lazore, Jeff Lazore (Vanessa), Joni Lazore (Nolan), Regis Lazore (Delores), Delia Terrance (Curtis) and Della Lazore. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Akwesasne Homemakers (1126 River Road, Snye, QC H0M1A1). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Regis Catholic Church (107 Angus Thomas Memorial Road, Akwesasne, QC H0M1A0).
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Hogansburg-Akwesasne Volunteer Fire Department.
